The European Transport Workers´ Federation (ETF) organises its 5th ordinary congress from the 24th to the 26th of May in Barcelona. The slogan of this year´s edition is “Fair transport for Europe – social justice, solidarity, unity“. The Congress will focus on the five priorities underlined in the ETF Work Programme for 2017-2022; these are:

  • Transport policy and sustainable transport
  • Labour and trade union rights
  • Organising globally
  • Cross border representation and coordination
  • Training and education – capacity building

The European Sea Ports Association (ESPO) will organize the 14th edition of its Annual Conference on the 1st and 2nd of June in Barcelona. This year´ s conference central theme is climate change and the new political and trade trends and how European ports are adapting to these global challenges.

The panels offer a quite varied list of speakers, representing EU and national policy makers, academics, NGOs and representatives of the maritime industry and port authorities.
